Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' emphasized the detrimental impact of negativity on society's creativity, urging a shift towards a more positive mindset. In his address to the nation, PM Dahal expressed concern about the prevalence of negative thinking and trends in Nepali society, emphasizing that such attitudes hinder creativity at both the individual and societal levels.
PM Dahal noted that the current environment is marked by frustration and negativity, which he considers a cause for concern. He highlighted the deliberate promotion of negative sentiments, fostering an impression that everything in the country is negative. According to Dahal, combating such negativity is essential for unleashing the full creative potential of society.
On a positive note, PM Dahal shared that the economic condition of the country is improving, citing positive indicators. He proudly mentioned that the foreign currency reserve has reached its highest level in the nation's history, covering more than three months of imports. Additionally, public agencies that were previously incurring losses are now turning profits.
Acknowledging room for improvement, Dahal admitted that the economic growth fell short of expectations. He emphasized the need for a thorough examination to identify and address the reasons behind the shortfall. Dahal stated that open discussions are underway, involving political leadership, civil employees, and the private sector to analyze and resolve these challenges.
PM Dahal underscored the importance of setting ambitious targets for double-digit economic growth and implementing reforms in policy, legal frameworks, and procedures. He outlined his commitment to bringing about positive changes in government policies and enhancing administrative capacity to address challenges and reduce inflation.
